Things to See & Do in Provincetown

For a daytrip or longer, Provincetown is a fun place to visit! There is so much to see and do in this lovely coastal community at the tip of Cape Cod. From the first stop for the Pilgrims to the birthplace of modern American theater, Provincetown is brimming with historical, cultural and other exciting sites and activities.

As the country’s oldest art colony, Provincetown offers an abundance of museums, art galleries, boutiques, antique shops, restaurants and more. There’s also spectacular beaches, sailing, whale watches, walking tours, bed-and-breakfasts, nightlife and, of course, the Pilgrim Monument. And what better way to enjoy this amazing town then a bike ride along its narrow streets lined with colonial homes and buildings!

Provincetown is a family-friendly community with a long history of acceptance for all people. For decades, it has been known as a “hometown” for gays and lesbians. Its well-known parades and other related events highlight this atmosphere of openness and tolerance.
